My Projects
Birth of a series
A PROCESS OF SELF-REFLECTION
For me, the act of creating is an inherently self-reflective process that requires a willingness to be vulnerable and self-exposed. Each stroke reflects a facet of my own thoughts and feelings. It serves as a mirror for the layers of my inner self and the world around me.
A SERIES EMERGES OF ITS OWN ACCORD
The theme I choose speaks directly to me, I don't search for it, it just comes through an emotional trigger which compells me to convey my thoughts and ideas through artistic expression in that area. It's like a pivotal force, a space that opens up and allows for broader and deeper creative exploration and self-expression. This theme inevitably becomes an ongoing project that will give birth to a series of artworks. Each work in a series becomes an attempt to further develop my artistic possibilities.
WORKING ON MULTIPLE PIECES
Working on several parts of a series at the same time is very helpful for me. That way I can jump back and forth between them and they all stay in step while I'm working on the layers. In so doing I can ensure that the individual pieces are always coordinated. I strive to create a cohesive body of work that shows different aspects of a theme or conveys a message, either through each piece or as a whole; a series that is ultimately meaningful and engaging.

Over the ages, this image has been iconized, celebrated and idealized. Sadly, women faced social and institutional barriers for centuries...
Mo Po Series: “ROOTS EMBEDDED IN CULTURE“
About the series:
In our globalized world today, cultural identity has become increasingly important in the creation of art. As an artist you can draw inspiration from various cultural sources and create works that reflect this blend of cultural influences...
Mo Po Series: “EXPELLED FROM THE WORLD“
About the series:
Today, an alarmingly large number of people around the world are forced to leave their homes. Important underlying factors play a crucial role in this process. The main root causes, such as the climate crisis, global food insecurity and conflict-induced displacements triggered by innumerable new and old wars, are never-ending. Artists can hardly remain indifferent to this fact...
