About me...
a figurative artist originating from Gibraltar
As an artist, I'm self-taught, which I have in common with many other creatives who were only able to live out their true choice very late in life, if at all. Nevertheless, I enjoyed formal artistic training from an early age with two accomplished artists in my home town of Gibraltar (Leni Mifsud and Mario Finlayson). Subsequently, in later years of life, I was able to acquire further knowledge autodidactically. I have always had an innermost wish for artistic expression and, despite being restricted in time for many years, have certainly managed to be creatively productive.
It really is never too late to step into your passion more fully!

My Motivation
My dedication to art is my motivation, my driving force, it spurs me on to achieve something more fulfilling and better with every new challenge.
My Strength
A driving force in my artwork is the convergence of cultures through my lived experience of different cultures closely interwoven with my life. There is a certain “normality“ for me in having daily interaction in the corresponding languages of these cultures with their differing customs and traditions.
My Aspiration
When the circumstances of life or events in the world affect me emotionally, I channel these feelings into my art. Sometimes paintings or drawings are based on observations of daily life, sometimes on my own imagination. I delight in exploring the inherent artistic possibilities to be found in different themes. In my art there is a perpetual quest for meaningful images.
